meximick's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sockoo Rules. Little baby girl Sockoo was born yesterday @ 2:50pm. Julie started calling her stomach "Sockoo" a while ago, when she didn't know if it was going to be a boy or girl. That baby is quite possibly the cutest baby on the planet and I got to hold her when she was only like 4 hours old and she's awesome, and it ruled like few other things in life can rule. She has tiny little fingernails on little monkey hands that gripped my finger like an olympic powerlifter. Except she's cuter than a baby monkey. So me and Mark and Mike are uncles. Let the horrible baby spoiling commence! Ma and Pa drove from NY when they received the call that Julie was having contractions. What is normally a 12-13 hour drive was completed in about 2 1/2 because Ma couldn't wait to see her first grandchild. We looked so goofy, standing around Sockoo's little plastic shielded cabinet-type bed, staring at her all wrapped up tight in her blankets, waiting for her to open her eyes (which are huge!) and she opened her eyes and had a look around for the first time and overall I think she was underwhelmed. Even while sleeping, Sockoo had this really concerned baby look on her face. She almost cried, but just once, and when she did, it was this awesome baby whimper, but she grew tired and slept again.
